Happy National Donut Day! If there is one item that I would love to eat every day, it’s a donut. A vanilla long john, old-fashioned Boston creme, or a chocolate glazed, just to name a few.
I don’t, of course, but at least I can dream and how cool would that be.
Kindly enough, Dunkin’ Donuts was giving away a free “classic” donut with a purchase of a beverage this morning, so I felt obligated to get mine.
Donuts make people happy. Have you ever witnessed a room when someone brings in a box of donuts? Mad love for the hero of the day who brought them in!
I think one box of donuts should be mandated for every workplace each week. In addition, we could add an extra 30 minutes at lunch for a walk, run, or workout. Can you imagine the productivity in that environment?
I also love donuts because you can eat them at anytime. Its versatility is key to its popularity.
Here’s a traveling tip: after 10 p.m., head to a gas station and take a peek at the donut case. Make sure the cashier can witness your look (a cross between pitiful and heartbroken), and then casually ask if the donuts are half price. BAM–a lonely donut can make its way to a good home.
As I’m writing this, I still have a few hours left in this national holiday to enjoy it! So for now, peace and nom nom!
